The participants will be able to attend the atelier with original scores only. The use of photocopies shall not be permitted. Risto Joost (EE)
The internationally acclaimed Estonian conductor Risto Joost is recognised for his versatility and his work both in the opera pit and on stage. A trained singer and the Conductor in Residence of the Estonian National Opera, Joost has already held major artistic positions, such as Chief Conductor of the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra (2013-2019), Artistic Director of the MDR Leipzig Radio Choir (2015-2019), Chief Conductor of the Netherlands Chamber Choir (2011-2015). In 2020/2021, Risto Joost became the Music Director and Chief Conductor of Vanemuine Theatre in Tartu, Estonia.
Kristina Bogataj (SI) - assistant conductor
Kristina Bogataj is a Slovenian conductor, singer, interdisciplinary artist and pedagogue. In 2017 she graduated from the Ljubljana Academy of Music with an award-winning choral concert and is currently finishing her second MA in Choral Conducting at the Sibelius Academy. Bogataj is currently based in Helsinki, Finland. She creates and performs around the country and abroad. Currently she conducts five Finnish choirs, including the international vocal group Lyckokatter that she established. Apart from the choirs, she acts as an opera chorus master for various productions, leads workshops and performs as a singer or pianist at different occasions. For the needs of her choirs, she also explores composition and arranging.
