Gospel music by rote

In the workshop, singers will experience and perform four traditional and contemporary gospel compositions by African-American composers. The goal is to use appropriate vocal nuance, energy and inflection to interpret each piece. All music will be taught without scores, with a lyric sheet for each composition.
