Ljubljana hosts ECA-EC General Assembly 2019

From Thursday, 14th of November, to Saturday, 16th of November, the Public fund for Cultural activities of Slovenia hosts the European Choral Association’s (ECA-EC) General Assembly with 120 members from 30 European countries.

Yearly ECA-EC General Assembly is an opportunity for Slovenian organizers to give a clear message about artistic and organization excellence of Slovenian choral music and culture in general.

Thursday has started with the reception in the Presidential Palace, where the president of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, delivered the honorary patronage to the Europa Cantat Festival 2021. On Friday the daily programme will consist of international exchange of experiences and relevant topics, important for the development of choral music. Friday evening is dedicated to Slovenian musical treasury – the participants will first attend the concert named Musica Noster Amor (music, our love) and for the final touch listen to the Mandolin Orchestra Ljubljana, led by the conductor Andrej Zupan. Saturday will bring two interesting workshops – Storytelling and Sing with Slovenia, which is also the slogan of Europa Cantat Festival 2021.

The great Saturday Finale, concert named Rays of underground world (St. Nicholas Choir, Litija, conductor Helena Fojkar Zupančič), is a special musical-light performance, which will create unforgettable memories in the magical surroundings of the Postojna cave.
